Field survey begins

A field survey of Toyako Town's vacant houses will begin on July 1, 2025.


1. About the field survey

In order to promote the development of a safe and secure community in Toyako Town, we will be conducting a survey (on-site inspection) of vacant properties, etc. as detailed below. We would appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the owners of the properties in question and the residents living in the surrounding areas.

This survey is an important initiative with an eye to the future of Toyako Town. It is only with the understanding and cooperation of each and every resident that we can ensure the safety and security of the region and preserve its beautiful landscape. We appreciate your cooperation.


2. Survey Overview

  • Survey period
    July 1st (Tue) - July 15th (Tue) 2025 *Including weekends and holidays. May be extended depending on weather conditions.

  • Survey area
    All of Toyako Town

  • Survey subjects
    Vacant houses and vacant land candidates (including those for non-residential purposes) extracted from water shutoff information, etc.

  • Research Methodology
    Field survey on foot


3. Investigator equipment and identification

  • Wear and carry a helmet, research vest, and ID

  • When using a vehicle, we generally use public parking lots and post vehicle signs.

  • During the survey, we will distribute a "survey information leaflet" and explain the purpose in an easy-to-understand manner.

4. Request to everyone

Understanding entry and photography

We may inspect the exterior and take photographs. Please understand that we will proceed with the investigation while taking privacy into consideration.

・Cooperation in providing information

The surveyor may ask the owner some simple questions (such as the age of the building and the state of management). Please answer to the best of your ability.

・Support for safe and smooth survey implementation

Please be aware that we may ask you to allow investigation vehicles to enter and pass through. We appreciate your cooperation.


5. Pre-survey

A pre-survey was conducted in advance to ensure that the on-site survey could be carried out appropriately.

The preliminary survey has also been published in the Hokkaido Shimbun and Muroran Minpo newspapers, so we hope you will take a look at them as well.
